Hello all, got maybe a dumb question for the group. Can you fix or replace a torn diaphragm on the brake booster or is the whole assembly junk now?

The booster is a critical part, I wouldn't trust a repair here; you may or may not be able to replace the internal diaphragm. Better alternative is going for the available Seiken/Bosch booster. Depending on your year, it should run you about $300 at Parts Geek, Rock Auto or somewhere like that.

I shopped for the rebuild kits a month ago.
Tough to find and $$$ when compared to a new $300 booster or quality reman for less from rockauto.

That's what I thought..... but I always check tge forum if used parts can be rebuilt before I toss them. With some parts becoming more scarce I never want to throw away something I could still use. Thanks @Toddo and @jbee
