This morning my brake pedal became hard to press while pullling into a parking spot and now have a hissing sound when pressing the pedal. Seems obvious that it is the brake booster leaking at the slave arm. Is it possible to replace a seal or do I have to buy a new brake booster?

Don't know if you can fix it, but be careful driving.

When mine when out it I was barely able to stop my truck

I replaced with new OEM, which was spendy.

Did you have the same symptoms?

yes. Hiss for a little while, then no brakes all at once.

I replaced mine with an aftermarket/reman unit. Works perfect now. I had the sudden hard pedal with almost no stopping. However, mine did not hiss. At least, I didn't hear any hissing.

Just ordered a NEW OE replacement Seiken brake booster. Toyota OEM was a bit more than I could spend and read about remanufactured ones going to crap and require replacements. Had partial brake issues two weeks prior to losing total power brake function.

Fyi:
80 Series, NEW OEM Seiken Brake Booster, Free Shipping
