Brake Bleeder / Anyone use one of these? (1 Viewer)

Just bought one of these:

It pulls the fluid through with the help of my compressor and replaces it with new fluid from a bottle placed upside down in the reservoir.

A gentleman at Slee mentioned that the 'pull through' method is preferred if doing it by yourself.

Any ideas from experience?

I did, it works great. Also used it to drain and refill the power steering fluid. There is a post here somewhere.

So, there is no actual bleed hole for the power steering?

Did you alter the hose in anyway or just stick the whole thing in there?

No, for PS, you remove the PS return line, crank the engine, and shoot PS fluid all over yourself/wife/truck and get air in the system. Then jack up the truck, refill, bleed the air, clean up the mess, and you're done.

I'd just siphon out the reservoir, refill, run the engine - and then repeat this cycle a few times until the fluid looks clear.
