Bowfin Cruisers roof rack review (1 Viewer)

So I just purchased a tepui hybox rtt and it is mounted to the bowfin rack. I have some squeaking that is rather annoying at slow speeds. I think it may be coming from the crossmembers that are not in use. All the crossbars are still on. What is the minimum crossbars to use? Or do I put something between the crossbars and rtt? Anyone have experience with this?

I got some thick rubber and put them between the tent and crossbars.
As far as how many crossbars well you need at least one for the front plate and two for the tent. But i would have just a few more as it all adds up to more rigidity . The rack is overkill for sure.

A better option would have been to use horse stall pads. Cheap and thick, just hard to cut with your grandmother's scissors. You can be creative and use cheap floor mats and bed mats.
