I am hoping to get some honest advice. I have the original bottle jack from my 1967FJ 40. I have totally rebuilt and updated the cruiser. Every nut bolt in part has been taken apart and redone. The bottle jack has definitely seen better days but part of me feels I should keep it as it currently is with its worn exterior. I took it apart to clean it up and to replace the grease on the internals. Any feedback is welcome.

If your 40 was rebuilt and kept the old patina then the jack should kept the patina. If your 40 got a new paint thru out then the jack should get new shiny paint.
