Just finally rounding the corner on a long term project and thought I would share my build.

The reason I am sharing this is I am very proud to say very few parts none OEM went into this build.

    Power steering from mini truck
    Disc conversion from landcruiser
Rear disc conversion from mini truck
    1HZ engine
    H55 and splitcase
factory PTO custom install off a 70 series cruiser
    Split case ebrake from MAF(factory)
Toyota Supra starter and replaced 24volt unit
Toyota mini truck alternator replaced 24 volt factory unit
Toyota factory solenoid for glow plugs off a BJ60
    BJ60 3.73 gears replaced 4.10s
    Rims off a Taco

Only non toyota parts were the electric fan which in retrospect could of come off a toyota. Ooops forgot the Honda prelude seats, unable to find a toyota bucket that would fit the smallish FJ45 cab.

Suspension is parabolics with aftermarket shocks, big improvement over factory (actually I figure a 80 series coil suspension would be even better).

This truck absolutely rocks , drives and runs better than new in 1977.

Lookng for ideas in the future to replace the non OEM parts???????
