I know Tapage has a hood scoop on his truck, not sure what type though.

I'm just thinking about changing my Nissan one to one of them and that way I can cut the bonnet because it's a reversed scoop

no offense Tapage, but yuck...

And honestly, if my truck deals with the Vegas heat, a V8 and no scoop, why are they necessary.

Nope, I am just not a fan of hood scoops.

Heck, the ferd thing does not bother me at all. I have a ford motor in my 60 ;)

I think someone on here put a WRX scoop on their hood as well.

in an 80 and it's in the 80 section .. thread about SC and Top mounted intercoolers ..

Opinions needed

Forwards, backwards or not at all?????

Why would you want to fit that.

Because with the turbo it doesn't let the heat out quick enough. And if I had a forward facing scoop it will let water onto my electrics when doing river crossings and stuff like that

I had the same issue with my surf. All I done though was space the rear of the bonnet. Just place some washers between the hinge and bonnet, cheap and easy but it works.

It may also suck air into the bonnet as well even though facing backwards because of the thermo fans pulling the air which will be good
