Hello all,

I’m replacing the fusible links on my 1993 Land Cruiser. I’d like to replace the bolt & nut that ties two of the three wires together (post battery, before they go into the junction box). Does anyone happen to have a PN or specs I can use to find a replacement? Mine are fused together pretty hard with rust and age. I’ll hit them with some PB Blaster and see if I can get them free, but might want to replace them anyway.

Thanks in advance!

DJ

They are in there plenty tight. Forgot how it did it without breaking the junction box.

It sounds like this is what you are looking for.

Thanks for your response!

I did buy one of those.

This is a terrible picture, but it’s the bolt circled in green, of that helps.

The positive battery post clamp IIRC comes with the nut and bolt, order from your local Toyota dealer.

Check out #6 in the diagram:

To remove the nuts from the other end of the fusible links I had to
use a small impact wrench (Milwaukee Fuel) could not get them loose using hand tools.

EDIT: just saw your photo; that is not a stock battery cable setup, but
the bolt and nut appear to be the original type??

Interesting. That makes sense, at some point the original owner had an aftermarket stereo put in and it looks like it was sort of a hatchet job.

I installed these battery cable ends on my truck.

Cleans it up a bunch. Have to make the hole in the fusible links a little larger.

I went with replacement terminals - marine brass and connected the FL to this.
