Bolt by Driver Engine Mount (1 Viewer)

There is a bolt backed out by the driver’s side engine mount. Can someone tell what it fastens? It is not obvious to me.

Smog pump bracket mount. On really old f engines it was the alternator mount. Most deamogged trucks use that location to mount a power steering pump

Alternator on passenger side...

Saginaw on driver’s side...

you can see the bracket for the smog pump, it goes under the engine mount, 1 bolt on each side to remove it
or is that what your PS pump mounts to?

So if no smog pump on this engine then no need to worry about that bolt. Tighten it or remove the bracket.
