So I was making some boiled pistons and found a couple of tips to share for Thanksgiving:
The FSM shows making a little bit bigger batch:
Instructions:
1. Grab a pot (maybe don't use your spouses favorite pot, the reason for this should be obvious)
2. Add the pistons on the connecting rods, and water, but don't add too much water, to keep the powerful flavors the correct water level is just at the bottom of the pins. (With the correct water height the pins will just slide out, too much and you have to get out the hammer)
3. Heat to 80C, if no thermometer is available lightly boiling is a good point to take them out.
4. Pull them out by the connecting rods and push the pins out (The connecting rods don't get too hot to handle but don't let that fool you the pistons and pins will still be hot for a little while.)
5. Don't forget to Oil to taste, and enjoy...
