For those do-it-yourself-ers such as myself you can find the UHMW at Mcmaster-Carr. I just ordered 2 ft of 2 1/2 dia rod for $25. M C seems to be a little easier to deal with than grainger and it's much easier to find the size and length you need all on one page. Hope this helps someone searching in the future.
