Almost ready to roll this one in the booth. Going over it for the final time, I’m finding rock chips everywhere. A good handful of them have rust developing but you can’t see it until it’s sanded down. I’m grinding the little rust spots down with a Dremel Tool, then fill with fiberglass filler. Next, epoxy prime the bare metal then high build 2k primer, sand then done. These chips really slowed me down today, but glad I found them now.

Rear wiper nut was rusted and couldn’t remove it. There was a little bit of rust showing underneath it. I had to cut the sleeve and nut off to access the rust. Most of the rust sanded off with 220 grit, then I soaked a rag with rust dissolver and let it sit for 30 min. Sand, epoxy prime, 2k prime then done.

That little blaster is nice. I want to get a small one like that, it would be convenient. I have been using my pressure tank blaster for lots of stuff. Thanks!

In the booth tonight with doors and hatch. Tomorrow night I will drive the vehicle in the booth and paint it. It’s 100 degrees during the day, so I have to wait until it cools off to 70 at about 9ish. Just got home at 1am.

The vehicle went into the booth, prepped, and cleaned 3 times. Mission abort! Bugs everywhere in the paint booth. I will try to find out how they are getting in and seal it up tomorrow.:mad::mad::mad:
