Hello everyone, this is my first post but I've been looking through this forum for years.

Well recently i purchased another 80 series 1994 auto 1hdt.
I've just done my valve clearance that were all out off spec, got all new shims in and they now with in spec, also done the water pump , timing belt and all fluids and filters.

Now it smokes blue, more under acceleration and slightly in idle.

I yet to do a compression test, fuel timing (when I can buy the kit, truck purchase set me back a bit)

I've driven 60 miles since and it still smokes.
People are mentioning pcv valves, but I belive it only applies for petrol engine ?

I've noticed a bit of smoke from camshaft cover vent pipe, if a block it and lose the cap, it builds up a little pressure but not to the point it dances like Madonna or spits oil .

Anyone suggestions on what to do or look at first would be greatly appreciated 🙂

It used to barely smoke on idle only but more of a white smoke. Blue is definitely news.

Did you use a lower viscosity motor oil when you changed it last?
