Awesome! Honk when you get to Texas, we'll come out and wave.

When do you hit I-10?

I turn south at Benbrook and take the hill country route. 8 hours of interstate is plenty bad.

6 hours at 3000 RPM sipping fuel at about 13 miles to the gallon.

First stop when I went to crank it after filling up ignition was dead. All lights on. Not even a click.

Wiggled some wires and it started. I dropped the hammer West.

I hear ya, I’ve driven the length of I-10 across this place :bang: Wife’s family is from El Paso/N Mex., Cruiser has been out there a few times.
Enjoy the trip, I’m jealous, hope no more electrical bugs.

Two long days Offroad and all seems good with the AFI.

I had something get in my fuel and turned both of my filters brown. It was spitting and dying. Swapped pre and post filters and after 70 more off road miles they are both clear.

I’ve got something going on with the charcoal system. I was building tons of tank pressure with the cap on.

I unhooked the canister. Plugged the vacuum and have been driving it with the gas cap off.

Old Ore, east river road, black gap and Glenn Spring the last day and 1/2.

About to ride up into the Basin.

Did you take Blue down the rock step on Black Gap?

150 more off road miles and solid as a rock
Did you take Blue down the rock step on Black Gap?

Down and back up. Did not slip a tire

Back home. 2400+ miles down.

11.5 mpg average

Other than the clogged fuel filters and me pulling the charcoal system out, the truck performed flawlessly.

I traveled with a 97 LX450 with 35’s and a HJ60 with 33s and my AFI 2F performed on par with both in power on the hills and highway.

I’m impresssd. The Specter Off Road fat seat cushion made it comfortable as any truck I own.

The AFI is a game changer. Truly amazing how this truck went from a local play truck to a long distance Overland vehicle.

The Iron Man Pro shocks were clutch as well. Superb performance in the rough.

Great trip. Great truck.

Nice. I gotta drive mine, I think that's more miles then I've put on mine in the past two years combined.
