Blown Head Gasket Advice (1 Viewer)

I've owned an FJ62 for over 4 years now - right now its at about 237K miles - and I just found out my head gasket has blown (my mechanic says).

The engine was rebuilt at 219K miles. It has a new radiator, new transmission, new alternator, + more.

Time for an engine swap or try fixing this one up?

Pull the head. I’d have to question the person who rebuilt it such a short time ago.

If the gasket blew, I bet it wasn't a Toyota gasket. If you decide to replace the head gasket - use the Toyota gasket
