Blowing smoke & oil dripping from exhaust.

yo,

My 1990 fj62 3fe is blowing smoke and leaking oil from exhaust, running as if it was on 4 cylinders....

With 220k motor was running strong after i had new injectors installed & valve adjustment less than 1000 miles ago, then on my drive back from utah to az this is what happened..

sooo, does this mean rebuild and if so do you know of a good mechanic for the rebuild job in az?

I would do some disgnostic checks first, before tearing into it. Do a leak-down test, see what it says. Check all your hoses and wiring, maybe pop in a new PCV valve.

What color? black white or blue...........yea go with a pvc and then a compression/leak down test then go from there

update: replaced pcv & check valve A hose & found fuel leak

Hi,

After digging in deeper replacing the pcv valve & check valve-"A" had a leaky hose so I replaced that. When I first pulled the hose of the pcv valve oil dripped out. so i replaced the grommet & pcv valve. I then found a leak in a hose connected to the check valve-"A", so I replaced that.

Still poor power, white/blue exhaust smoke & smell of fuel lead me to check along the fuel rail & injectors & sure enough there is a fuel leak, still trying to locate it, possible injector leak or fuel rail leak from the earlier injector installcensor:utah shop)

The fj62 is set up with a tow bar, so tomorrow I am towing it to www.toyspecialistsaz.com.:wrench:

I will know more tomorrow.
