I started blowing my brake light fuse recently. Replaced the brake light switch thinking it was a bad terminal. Still blowing fuse. Wondering if I bumped or moved a wire while doing some work. Anyone have a good diagram or ideas that can point me to the short? I’m debating on just redoing the wiring to the rear. It’s a 71’. The previous owner chopped the wiring to the hazard switch but all lights and signals worked previous to this.

Bet you a dollar that is where the problem is. One of his splices was not done well/came undone or is worn through and is shorting against the body or frame.

I pulled the splice at the end and that’s not it. Under the dash is capped

screw it. Time to tear into it. Some shotty repair work seen at the top of wiring.
