My right front blinker bulb went out. So I went I advance auto and bought a 2 pack. Replaced the bulb which worked for a day or so then went out again. Same thing for the second replacement. Now here is where it gets weird. As I was beginning to inspect things with the multimeter I noticed and stray extra amber bulb down in that portion of the headlight/blinker housing. I have never changed this bulb. How did it get there? No idea. Has it been there since I purchased the vehicle brand new in 2011 or is there some other explanation? Anyway I fished the bulb out with some duct tape attached to the end of a ball point pen, plugged it in and it works which has me asking the question. Must these bulbs be replaced by OEM toyota parts?
Now I wait to see if this bulb goes out quickly to know if I have a bigger issue.
