I have a question regarding my boost pressure. Hopefully, someone can explain what is happening?
I know that the stock pressure in the turbo should be around 6lbs and I have not adjusted anything on the turbo.
Three weeks ago I put in a boost gague and I could get boost up to 10lbs with little effort.
Recently, I cut out the muffler and run a straight pipe. Now, I can get the boost well over 12lbs.... I even had the little red light come on for a second when it got close to 14lbs.
Why would the Boost be so high without doing any alterations?
Is there something wrong with the wastegate that it is not opening?
Any ideas?
