Could not bleeding the line correctly have something to do with the squeaking?

I used a mightyvac for the first time. Was still getting some small tiny bubbles coming through when I stopped bleeding. I'd gone through about 3 master cylinders full of fluid at that point. I would fill the master put cap on then put mightyvac on pump 10-15 times then crack and bleed.

I'll check the bracket in the footwell but almost entirely sure the squeak is coming where the fork pivot goes into tranny.

When using vac bleeders it is common to get air sucking in past the threads on the bleeder screw. Makes you think you still got lots of air in the system. Either seal around the base of the threads with a little grease or remove the bleeder and teflon the threads

@Malahki, that's what I assumed was happening yesterday - lots of little consistent looking bubbles. I just bled again using conventional method, wife at the helm, tube stuck b/w bleeder and half full bottle of brake fluid. Everything bleed great. No air in system.

The squeak appears on both the down and up stroke of the pedal when engine is off, and appears to only occur on the upstroke (as you're letting the pedal out) with engine running.

I don't have a stethoscope but pretty sure the squeaking is coming from here:

Thanks for all the help everyone! Was able to get this completed this afternoon and it appears to have solved my intermittent won't shut off problem and heavy clutch. Just a quick spin around the block but all seems well.

Oldtoy pretty much spelled it out, I was able to remove the master and pry out the metal clip with a very small thin screwdriver. I put a light coat of grease on the new seal and pushed it in place, then used a 24mm socket to lightly tap the metal clip back in place. Scraped the old gasket off and used some RTV to create a new one.

Photo of the new and old seal and the clip:

FWIW, my neighbor came to the rescue with a MightyVac speed bleeder which was very helpful. I fear my wife would've tired of the pump pump push routine pretty quickly.
So I want to thank you for showing the clip so I knew what shape I was looking for. This fixed my problem as well! The only thing I would add is that I put a little grease on the end of the 24 socket to hold and guide the clip back into place. It feels really good to fix your own cruiser!

Dusting off this thread.

I’m in need of the clutch booster seal
44621-28120 but not seeing anyone sell it stateside.maybe just walk into a Toyota dealership since it’s also for a celica?

Anyone know where I could get this from? Maybe @cruiseroutfit? (Didn’t see it on your site but worth a shot)
