V stands for Van.

Did you buy direct from FLEX? Ouch.

The fender flares are aftermarket.
Bad company are they ?

I had some one look at it and for the price it is what I want ..
For me to buy one and do the same to it would out strip my budget
You shoud see some of the s*** that has been imported here to BC and they want big money for them .. a few rare nice ones but few and far between .
. Thanks for your help

Nope, not bad as far as I know. It is a network of independent dealers so up and down, but they tend to have high asking prices.

yes I noticed the prices were high for quite a few but the odd one was with in reason and they always have the nicest LandCruisers ..I seen this one pop up and It took me 3 weeks of late night dealing to get it for what I wanted ..:bang:

nice! them are some funky shackles! but very nice 70. What is it?
After many searches I found out who makes the shackles..
???????

And I was wondering if any one put a 2nd alt on a 70 for the 12 volt acc.. U dont want to use a step down as I plan to run a winch....
I found one company that makes a 24v deck so I may do that for now ..

Nice '73 !
I hear those tops are a pain to remove.
You should turbo that 3B ! Kodiak in Vancouver are good from what I've heard.

West Coast .. I want to turbo this thing in a bad way .. I near wore out the search button .. The site should have a turbo forum haha.. There is some cool home brew kits..

I have been told by one source that the AXT kit will out perform any other kit out there on a B3. A $1000 dollar dyno bet to back that up .. Stated Ftpounds at 400+ and 200hp+ ..

What kind of boost are we looking at?

200 HP and 400 pd/ft is not realistic with a 3B if you're expecting to keep the engine around for a while.

There are a few good aftermarket turbo options in kit form. The AXT kits can be quite spendy here in Canada. The Denco unit is better value for the money and you can choose between oil only or oil and water - though you really only need oil on a diesel engine.

There is also a lot of hype around when it comes to turbo sales - don't believe everything you're told, and if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is - like the 200 HP out of a 3B.

True. I can't provide numbers on performance, but it makes an awesome difference.
From what I've heard...the AXT kit is one of the best overall. It may be steeper, but I've seen more smiles with it, than the other kit.

I have no Idea how the guy has that turbo set up .. But I am sure he was just trying to blow wind up me arse to buy his AXT that he had in stock..

I need to make sure that I can find a shop in Van some where that can put a parts turbo on my LC with out looking at me like a deer in the headlights or say to me ohhhh thats gona be a lot of work and I am not sure about this ....As I see $$ signs roll through his eyes .. The Truck is here in the ship yard now and I will have it by mid next week ...

Howdy, and congrats! I just got one of the same thing for myself here in W. Africa, except mine is a 1986... You can see pics of it at my homepage. I have a few questions... hope some of you can help out?

BTW, Wild FX, you can get a step-down adaptor to take the power down to 12 volts for the stereo. They probably have one for a winch, too.

1. What"s the story on the Turbo? This one has turbo lights, but the guy told me that this is not the Turbo model. Is there a non-turbo model?

2. It looks like the rear left leaf springs are either no longer compressed or broken. Pics at the same URL... but not very bright. I can take more. Will it be possible to bind them together again, or ?

3. Anyone else in Africa reading this stuff?

I look forward to hearing from you guys, but usually emails are best.

Yeah, mine is the same, but .. does the Tach on yours have turbo lights anyway?

Also, what battery specs do you have? It seems we have identical models, but yours is in very sweet condition and mine is... well, mine is in Africa. :)

I am looking for a battery equalizer and a step-down converter to give me 12 v legit from the 24v system. Found one of the latter on eBay for $40-50 but shipping to here could easily triple that.

Mine cost me $6k, and it isn*t likely that I could take it back to Europe or the States since they only have the Carte Gris here, no formal title or anything. Not sure how that works for the U.S; though. Maybe bring it in as Parts.. but i think it may actually be worth more here. Africa is an expensive poor continent.
