I wonder if he's looking at the VIN, it's JT3BJ71...
My '87 BJ70 also has the 3BJ71 in the VIN, though I wish mine was worth 35k

So if this one states BJ71 in the vin it should have the 13BT in and not a 3B with a turbo,it probably got swapped at one point in time.Looks pretty clean and a lot of aftermarket stuff but half that price should be more realistic.

For some reason the Canadian 1987 BJ70's have BJ71 in the vin. My BJ70 has the stock 3b with no turbo and my VIN is the same format. Here are two other examples on this forum where users with Canadian LHD BJ70's refer to their trucks as BJ71's, presumably because of the VIN:
