BJ70 with 2.8 L Diesel?

there is a toyota "3L" motor which is 2.8 litres, but i don't think it ever came in a 70. the owner is probably confused. If it's a BJ then it will be the 3B or 13BT which is 3 litres.
Who knows, it could be a misprint,someone here has a Hilux with a 4.2 diesel for sale but I think it should be 2.4
Its also possible that Kiwi cruiser is a LJ70 with an updated motor .
I'd guess a 3L swapped in to an LJ70.
Or maybe a Mitsubishi 2.8, such as from a Pajero/Delica?

I knew a bloke from Auckland NZ a few years ago, who had a used japanese import 70 series cruiser SWB that had a 2.8 diesel and coil springs from the factory. I think it was maybe late '80s - early '90s model. Overall was same shape as the 13B/13BT models but was slightly smaller. I haven't seen another one since.
Yep, it was a LJ70 and must have had an engine swap. Definately had a 2.8 ohc Toyota motor.

B is 3litres, 3B and 13BT are 3.4litres
I once saw a 2.4D 80 series.Who knows, it could be a misprint,someone here has a Hilux with a 4.2 diesel for sale but I think it should be 2.4
