I'm learning how bad a previous owner can fxxx up a vehicle when he doesn't know anything about it or his mechanic can't get parts.
Highlights
- Previous Owner (PO) thought it was a 1985 BJ60 with a 3.2 six cylinder
- Turns out it's a 1986 BJ70 (24 volt)
- Radio, alarm, and 12 volt power plugs run off one battery
- batteries are new but don't hold a charge (surprise surprise)
- car fuel filter used instead of OEM fuel filter
- Amsoil secondary oil filter setup
- and the best part... it seems that the starter has been replaced with a 12 volt unit running off 1 battery. I haven't torn apart the truck enough yet to verify this.
If someone has a wiring diagram for a CDM 1986 BJ70 (24 volt) it would be very helpful.
