Bj60 Alternator source

Hey all, this morning, after months of flawless operation, the charge, brake, and filter lights came on and stayed. My assumption is alternator, brushes etc. I am looking for a good source for a re-built or any advice on how to fix etc. Thanks for any advice

DON'T rebuild, you probably don't need it. The cover where the wires attach is removable and under it you will find the voltage regulator and under that is the brush holder. Take the brush holder to the local rebuilder and get new brushes installed. There is NOTHING special about the brushes so they don't need to order from Toyota or anyone else expensive.

Don't forget to disconnect the batteries first!!

had a simmilar issue... replace the brushes and the regulator. both can be had from napa for little $$$... easy fix...

might be a cheaper source. But this is the idea. I paid 120 for a whole alternator(minus vac pump) but it was surplus...
