Hi All,

Posting my tub here since I’ve decided to switch gears and go aluminum. I’ve gathered pretty much all the pieces to put the cruiser together but don’t have the time to do it. The tub is a late model with the gas tank underneath. It’s also got those nifty door switch spots on only the late models. Quarter panel and floor pan patches are included, although only half of the floor pan patches would be of use. The rest is okay. I’ve sold the fenders and aftermarket bib since taking pictures so the price reflects this. Located in Richmond hill, Ontario. Feel free to make me an offer. I’ll be happy to point out details and talk you through what I had in mind when I was going to use this tub. I definitely have more than this into it (about $800 alone in patches/floors) but I’m moving across the country and need to sell it.
1500CAD obo for the whole set. Willing to separate pieces if the price is right

If you are will to separate pieces, I’d be a player on the driver’s side firewall brace.

Was this a RHD tub with a LHD dash? Opening for the handle for the hand brake is for RHD. I would date this tub 10/81-9/82. 10/81 dome light switch in the A pillar started. 10/82 transmission tunnel was higher in the front to accommodate the H55F.

Yes, I got the dash after since my original one was rotted out. I have all the pieces to convert it to LHD.
And yes, no higher transmission tunnel but it has the switches. I didn’t know they made more room for the H55F so I just learned something new 😁

I had set body mounts for the h55f and 3b I put in so there was enough room. Only about a quarter inch of room though so this explains the reason for that

That’s a pretty small piece to take away and doesn’t allow the next person to convert it to LHD. I don’t think I can separate that piece. I might have a spare brace though. I’ll check today

Have a section of the hump still in Australia (RHD) to covert my 79 FJ40.

The inspection cover is mainly taller.

Had a friend in Australia sent me this picture of a 10/82+ RHD cowl avaliable for sale. It's from China.

Not sure if they made a LHD version. The collapsible steering column was only used in a few markets. Non were RHD. The opening in the firewall was different for those. Always possible to use the non collapsible steering column. So that would be an easy solution.
If you have the skills your tub was be much cheaper solution. I can work with metal but not a welder.
