Hey folks...
Would love to hear some input on this...
Right now I have a 1978 BJ40 with 'b' engine that is going to be 'worked' on.

Whats in line for it?...Well...plan is that it will be completely torn down to frame and built back up.

Just a few of the changes-

Mike Gozzard full tub

Mike Gozzard front bib

Mike Gozzard windsheld frame

Ole Man Emu 4" man-afre anti reversable kit install, greasable shackles and pins all around.

Ole Man Emu Nitrogen shocks(4) and steering stablizer

U-bolt skidplates installed on all 4

All new stainless steal hardlines for clutch and all brakes

Rear Disc Brake GM Conversion, all dry fitted and custom hardlines and mounts made.

Brand new Eshan softtop coming in from Paki in dark Tan color, complete kit with framing

Brand new Eshan rear half doors with all mounting hardware

I would love to hear what you guys would or wouldnt do with this rig...project will start next week.

Travis

Sounds major cool Travis, if your workmanship is anthing like your buddy in the FJ45 forum I should think it would be one of the nicest around.

Good luck.

Oh and a turbo is almost manditory on that rig, IMO.

Good luck

i would stay away from SS lines since they do not have the stretch if snagged... i watched a mini here with no front locker because the SS line caught and broke... they look nice though... chat with Mark Watley, he is up to speed with this stuff....
i would do a toyota disc conversion way before the chevy one, the only time i did the rear disc conversion was using hte toyota stuff. do a search and you will find some info on this.
Eshan tops are the best by far.
Gozzard does sweet ass work, you will be happy.
OME is a nice but quite expensive and there are comparable lifts out there for 1/2 the money...

if you do all your list to your truck you will still have a sweet ass rig, so congrates.
and best luck in your refurbishing/upgrading...
cheers

Once true, no longer true with the advent of the Dakar series kits, on par if not cheaper.

Post up pics of that BJ40....................

I seen a shot over on the 45 section.

Haha the pics are coming soon...

Probably going to start the work tomorrow and start the thread as well....should be interesting. Gotta try and find a place for that powersteering in there somewhere before I tear it all apart haha....

Perfect, I look forward to this build.

Do a search here as I did a power steering install a couple months ago and posted pics.
