i found a 60 and a 70 series power steering box from g and s importers. does anyone know which one will fit on a 77 bj40 rhd? it has the B engine. help please...

for a RHD it will be difficult. the steering boxes you are looking at require the moving of the shock tower... i would contact either Dave (Japan4X4) or Mot and ask them to source a RHD steering box for a 40 series...
cheers

BTW your mail box is full (or mine is)

Check with this fellow to see how he did it. Post #4: https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=101658

Sounds like he used a 6* series box, turfed the center pivot and went 7* series relay rod from the pitman arm.

Minitruck is one of the more common Toyota swaps it seems, however supposed to not be great for anything over 35" or smaller locked front ends.

Lots of reading in the 40 series section if you are inclined.

A stock RHD for your 4* series would be the simplist, no doubt.

thanks for the help guys:)

if you have clearance to mount a saginaw box (just like a lhd saginaw would mount), it would be a nice conversion... I checked today, there are lots that can be used. Mostly heavy duty boxes from pick ups and vans.
