Hello dear lovers of TOYOTA 40 series.
I do not know in which section of the forum to place my topic, so I wrote in the subject "Series Tech 40 & 55"
If this is not correct let the moderators will transfer my theme to the desired section.
My name is Alex and I am from Russia.
Four years ago, I became ill a disease which is called "Toyota 40 series"
I wanted to buy a car. In Russia such cars is very small, but in good condition at all can be counted on the fingers.
So I bought a TOYOTA BJ40 1978. The car was in a satisfactory condition. And I started to restore the car.
Restore to the Russian TOYOTA BJ40 in its original form is very difficult.
Spare parts are very small and all have to be ordered worldwide.
At this time, when I had difficulties to restore cars I was contacted by a person from this forum and offered help in finding parts for my car.
In this topic, I want to express my gratitude this wonderful man.
His name is Kevin Johnson of Beloit. The forum is kjohnson
Thanks to this man I was able to make just such a car
I did not get the original TOYOTA BJ40, but I restored car.

No, TOYOTA 40 series were not imported into the USSR.
These cars already delivered later Second Hands after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Far East Russia delivered right-handed from Japan, and in Central Russia delivered from Europe, mostly from Finland.

I'm in Canada, never been to Russia, closest was Finland. I have to say, I'm very impressed with the 40. Looks like you invested many hours. Thanks for sharing.

Hello my dear friends!
Since the my car electrical wiring is not quite done in the original, I need a wiring diagram for 1978 TOYOTA BJ40
Please show where you can find a wiring diagram?
Thank you.
