ok whats the best deal on upgraded birfs right now?? and who should i go thru for fast shipping and good service..

Profeilds --$99 thru allpro
new supper longfields --- $125 thru longfield
Bellfield -- $110w/core thru marlin

whats the best bang for the buck, as far as Reliability, strength and replacment units

Long's w/core exchange are $55/ea w/or w/o a ring welded on w/ free shipping if you mention his ad on PBB $65/ea regularly. Tried/tested/proven. I haven't heard too many good things about the pro's but I have no first hand knowledge. It may have just been the 1st batch was bad, but I am not sure. Lots of info on PBB.

longs..

With the rings..

ok, thanks
sounds like a deal to me!

Whats up with the "new" units vs old ones..
from what i am reading the new ones have better turning radius and are Brand new for $80..

the old ones are $55, and are rebuilt stock ones with a ring welded around them.. is this corect and what would you guys suggest?

I run early Longs with the rings...they held up to a year of my poor driving with a full-lock front and 38.5 tires....

However, the new Bellfields from Marlin sounds like near-identical units.

I do believe the first batch of un-ringed Profields/Longfields had strength issues...but it appears to be resolved.
