birf repack- reuse dust seal? (1 Viewer)

When I finally get around to repacking my birfs should I be able to reuse the dust seals-I plan to replace the gasket but not sure about the seal itself. Will I be able to reuse the star washers?

I don't know about the dust seal.

Toyota says to not re-use the star washer, but a lot of people do.

By the dust seal, do you mean the metal ring that goes on the inside of the knuckle - facing towards the third member? Seems to me that most knuckle repack kits include this part, so no need to reuse.

I've reused the star washer when I couldn't get a replacement one in time - hammered it flat. They are cheap though, so just keep a couple around.

Dust seal is between the dust cover and the hub+rotor assembly.
