So I have the front axle rebuild kit, checked the faqs a bunch of times and even ordered my birf video. One thing that I have not seen is how much bearing grease, how much molly grease, how much diff fluid and what are people running for diff fluid?
Also mentioned in the faq it says that if you have clicking you should switch birfs and that theres additional parts to use? What are they? I have clicking but it's more of a hollow clunking noise when my wheels are turned pretty good either way and I'm accelerating. Does this warrant switching sides?
Thanks!
Bob

You can probably find most of that in the FAQ for the 80-series. Not sure you'll find exactly what you're looking for in the way of grease specs. Seems like most of the directions just say "about 3/4 full" for the birfs and "just enough to get grease to smoosh out" for the wheel bearings. Ok, smoosh isn't a direct quote, but you get the idea.

In order to have enough of both, I seem to remember something like three standards tubes of moly per side. You'll have to look carefully and not believe me. It's in there somewhere. I don't remember how much bearing grease. I'll probably just get another couple tubs of M1 Red. I use that stuff all the time around the garage. :)

I just picked up the Costco case of blue paper towels. I'll be doing my first knuckle job this weekend. :bounce:

I'm sure I overfilled my bearings, they really should be filled 30% full. So don't go crazy trying to pack them full.
