I run B99 from a station here in town (Issaquah, Warshington) from April to October. In the winter time I run regular diesel. My vehicles are to important to me to mess with making the stuff myself.

I have an '81 bj42 with the 3b and have run biodiesel through it for years now. Most people recommend replacing fuel lines with new ones made of viton, but I have had no trouble with the stock ones so far. When I first got the vehicle, the injector pump needed help, so I had it rebuilt. Nearly all rebuild kits these days have the rubber components made of viton. I've never had any trouble with bioD except gelling in the winter (I live at ~1300m elevation) but have found that mixing 50/50 or more with dino-diesel generally takes care of the problem

Wow, very nice in every way! I love his truck, turbo diesel and 5 speed manual, and now running on SVO! About the only thing better would be if it were LHD, but it just adds to the uniqueness with RHD.

I realize he put his own system together, but I'd rather trust a proven one. I've been studying the SVO/WVO kits over the last week or so. Frybrid seems to be the more sophisticated one, but I'm getting the impression they're a pain to deal with. Greasecar seems to be the most popular and proven, and I've heard mostly all good things about it.

This Canadian company has a good product and service reputation for VO systems.

Yes, that was actually the first company I looked at. A friend of mine with a diesel Jetta was thinking of them too. They're in Salmon Arm, BC... a bit far for me, but I see they have an installer in Vermont, which is closer. The other place, although in Massachusetts, is also within a day's drive to get the kit installed. I'd rather someone experienced with these kits, regardless of which company it's from, install the system. Also, one of their competitors was bashing PlantDrive, of course (but they probably all bash each other and position their product as the best, which makes it even harder to choose).

If I get an SVO/WVO system, it will probably be in the spring or early summer.
