Just bought a new set of Bilstein shocks. The old ones I have on the truck have the accordion style boot, the new ones have the open-bottom style (see pics).
In here, they use lots of gravel/salt in winter. So knowing that, I wonder which style would you recommend I use?

Cheers,

I don't care for the accordion boots; they seem to trap all the crap they're supposed to keep out. JM $.02

Like gotmud said....don't bother with the accordion style boot, just use what Bilstein has on the shock.

i put some accordion style boots on my pro comps, month later cut them off and found lots of junk in there, no I run without them.

Where as your from a wintery area and salt is an issue, just bring her to car wash every once in awhile. Clean the salt off of the whole ride.
