Gathering items to improve my suspension setup(stock springs w/1.5 and 2 inch extended shackles)…. Shims from @orangefj45 already on the work bench to address my driveline angle - waiting on U bolts

Question: 5100 or 4600 series Bilstein shocks? Any experiences for or against either?

Thanks for any insight!

The 4600's are stock length and are yellow and blue. The 5100's are for 2" lift or 4" lift and are shiny aluminum and black. I think the valving on the 5100's are different to help control larger and heavier tires common on lifted rigs. I LOVE my 5100's on my FJ40 with 4" lift with 33's and would gladly buy them again. I would definitely try the 2" 5100's (5125's) on your rig as opposed to the 4600's. I would like to try FOX shocks as well one day just as a comparison, but they are even more $.

+1 on the 5100-series; what I'm running on mine, with 3" lift and 33's. Very happy with them.
