I got what I believe a 2" lift from Spector on my 40. Measuring between the shock mounting post on the front, I measure ~17.5". I purchased Bilstein shocks part #33-06518 and they measure 18.5" between the mounting holes. My question is, are these too short? Under flex it seems they would be too short. Or am I wrong?

Your measurement is at ride height?

If so, I would agree, the 062518 seems too short since they state 18.5 as the extended length.

Springs do vary in ride height. Best to get what fits your measurements F/R.

I am going to measure compressed and sprung lengths tomorrow. I figured I'd hit the easy button for now. Thank you for the reply.

FWIW:
I highlighted, for my own reference, the compatible shocks for the 40 and ordered what seemed best for my application.

Oh and, for what it’s worth pt2, my “4in lift” measures only +1.25in eye to eye than yours.
