Mmmm..... beefy :p

Are those MTR's?

Wow, I want it! Looks cool! The tires look like swampers.

looks GREAT! where is it for sale at? I recall 1-2 years ago one being built up like that in the east coast someplace.

also looks like some wheel spacers on it.

price seems pretty decent.

(any good ones for 100s?)

looks good, as usual for Slee.
Can't imagine there is a big market for these things, though. Dang, sure ain't about to rockcrawl in our baby... :-\

No offense to anybody that like's this UZJ, its a good job and all, but in my oppinion, I think it looks like sh*t. Doesn't look right to me. I don't think a luxury suv ought to have 36's. Instead it ought to have dub-duces (22's, or bigger) on low profile tires :flipoff2:.

I like the black front emblems.

Wow.
Its not a luxury SUV. Its a hard wheelin trail machine disguised as a luxury SUV.
Its Toyota's joke on the majority of the american public. We, on the other hand, are insiders to this joke. :D
(At least is applies to 80's, not so sure about those 100's yet :flipoff2:

Landpimp, thats a little too extreme for me, but I was thinking of something like this:

That is one of the best looking cruisers I've seen in a long time, I wish we knew more about it, i.e. how they lifted it, It must be some custom work under there, assuming that the factory IFS is still there, I would think I solid axle swap would be the way to go, my guess is that they just dropped the front diff and suspension like my buddy is doing in his 97 4Runner. It definatley has wheel spacers!

Wonder if he swapped in different axles all together ?[/glow]

That's true, maybe he just has new wider axles, I'm not sure why someone would do that though, because the toyota axles are in my opinion really good, I would think the best way to go is just try to rig a 80 series solid axle up front, in which case he definatly has wheel spacers. Does anyone have any experience with the front end on the 100 series, and maybe have some insight on lifting it without an axle swap, other than the nominal lift of new torsion bars.

[glow=black,2,2]I'd trade in my 80 for it in a heart beat if I knew it had retained it's road manners ... :p[/glow]

I'd like to how the road manners are too. I wonder if they regeared it? I'm even curious as to the mileage. Really the price doesn't seem too bad to me. That is about what a stock 100 brings in Idaho, and usually ours have more miles than that here.

It isn't an 80-series front as it retains the 5-lug 100 series wheels. I think it looks great...though I wonder how much rubbing/damage would be done if it got twisted up on the trail with those meats. I might throw some 35s on it and call it good.

Calling it a luxury SUV that shouldn't have 36"s is exactly what FJ-40 owners were saying about the 60 series in the early 80s and what 40/60/62 series owners were saying about the FJ/FZJ-80s in the early 90s.

Yeah, IFS aint the coolest thing going, but that Cruiser would still put a hurtin' on an H2 etc. etc.
