I sort of want to purchase a newer daily driver. I have an 80 on 35's and it is fun for around town. I want to get something for road trips that is fairly massive, reliable. I want to explore more of Mexico but driving here is fairly dangerous. I would add lots of armor. A 100 would work but bigger would be better, a new Tundra would be interesting but I think it will be pretty expensive. Also thought of a Dodge diesel quad cab but I question the reliability of everything other than the engine. Something like an H1 would get stolen and again reliability. Big is good.

might look into something like an older suburban and spend some money to make it more reliable. 60's, vortec engine 4l60e and a manual shift tcase should be a pretty good start. take an extra fuel pump, or maybe go carb and carry an extra one already tuned. How about a used seqoia?

I forgot about the ultimate expedition vehicle, 416 doka unimog. Meets all the criteria, except the highway part.
