Well looks like I may be able to go... Metal Tech had sliders in stock and I am hoping to get them on this weekend.

Just to confirm, where is everyone meeting at on Sat. the 16th?
Nice, love it. Pulled the trigger for a trail run.

My Metal Techs were a pain to install, but I have a 94 so its a slightly different design. Get there number just in case you have to call them on a Saturday.

I think we are meeting on Sunday the 17th, not Saturday. 9:00 AM at the Discovery Center. See you there.

I'm hoping I get my gear install and front axle rebuild done in time. The cruiser is apart at the moment.

My BFG ATs are pretty worn and I have no sliders yet, is that going to be an issue on these trails?

C.J. (pinoytoy) ran it without sliders, 35s and 850j/863 combo without too much of a problem. and he's going again! there are no guarantees, but with 37s and j lift, i think you'll be fine. we won't be doing anything crazy and the goal would be to have a good time with minimal carnage.

how worn out are your tires? 50%? less? time for new ones?

I'd say they're 20-30%. I paid $125 for 5 of them so I'm not too bummed about the wear.

Looks like we are going to have a pretty good turn-out. I'm really looking forward to this. Let us know if we can bring any food or drink to help out with lunch...I can bring some yummy potato salad.

I will bring some of my moms famous hummus, and a couple of bags of pita chips. We had some last time at SNT and at the last Socal meet at O'Neill park and everyone loved it. Ill wait to see the final headcount to make sure I bring enough.

Man I'd like to go... but helping my brother move to his new house that weekend... Plus no sliders either.:frown:

How difficult is this run going to be? I'd like to attend but Im pretty new at wheeling and I don't wanna embarrass myself by being THAT GUY getting stuck everywhere. my rig doesn't have lockers. I have a ome 2.5" lift, slee sliders, and should be picking up some new 33s tomorrow but I'm concerned about If this might be too advanced for someone like myself with no experience.

might have a little hard time without at least one locker, but other than i think you'll be able to do it. nick (SDTLC80) and i have ran this trail before with open diffs and managed to finish through. tough without lockers. there will be plenty of people there to help you get by though. i think this will be a great way to learn.

Is anyone thinking of driving up the night before or is everyone taking off early Sunday morning ?

Im thinking of leaving the night and spending the night in big bear.
