Dan would you be able to make it sunday? we'd love to have you with us.

I misread, I thought it was both Saturday AND Sunday. I'm out of luck on Sunday, have fun, it's a great couple of runs!

Dan.

I am confirmed for Sunday, so where and what time does everyone want to meet?

I would like to go but with no sliders yet. I may have to pass if its a rough trail.

Anyone familiar with this trail that could chime in and let me know the scoup... I have an OME 2.5" lift with 33's

I know you will be fine on Gold Mountain but John Bull will be tough, although possible with very good spotting. I powered my way through and put my sliders to good use, lost quite abit of the powder coat n the process. Gatekeeper on 33s is definitely a challenge. A friend of mine did John Bull in a stock H3 Hummer so I know it's doable......but a little carnage is likely.

Hmmm.
Wish I had gotten sliders already.
It's too late now to get any in time unless someone in SD or SoCal has a set for sale.

The Discovery center sounds good, what time? Also, Do you plan on climbing up Gold Mountain and then entering John Bull through Gatekeeper or reversing it?

lets do 0900 at the discovery center. that should be enough time for everyone to show up.

never ran john bull to gold mountain before and i think that would be interesting. have always ran gold mountain to john bull. the gatekeeper is always fun.

Ok, the family and I are good to go for the 16&17. Looking forward to this run, hope we have a good turn out.

Who says you need sliders for John Bull?

You can do it without sliders with 35s and a 3 inch lift but I'd not recommend it with 33s. It's definitely doable though. We just tried a pretty difficult line and it didn't work out too well. Fortunately the damage was very minimal and the doors opened just fine after. I think it gives the vehicle character. Looking forward to wheeling with you guys!
