BF Goodrich Tire size for 5.5 R15 wheels? (1 Viewer)

What type of tire are you running? I can't find any 31x9.5x15s anywhere, but I would like a 31 or 32 x 9.5 for my FJ60. BFG and most tire companies have discontinued the skinny 9.5" width on anything larger than a 30" tires for the 15" rims.

31x9.50, stock suspension. Skinny tires are cool

These rigs came with a HR78 tire that had about a 28” outside diameter as a reference.

In Europe these were BJ40 and tire size 7.00-16 (31”) or later BJ42 with 7.50R16LT tires (32”).

Those are older BFG tread pattern TKO’s and 45 and 50mm Dobinsons springs.

I’m running BFG 33x10.5R15....however, I heard that Kenda is making the same size in their new AT2 and I’m VERY interested. 60k mile warranty and snowflake rated. Great reviews so far and much more competitively priced than the monopoly brands.

My response was for the OP question. Heard it on a podcast that the 33x10.5 was coming to market soon, that’s all. No news on 31’s being part of the rollout.

BFG 33x10.50x15 AT is my tire of choice with stock height and also 2 1/2" lift (with 4" lift I go to 33's). At one time I liked lettering out but now I like the Blackwell side. I have bought from discount tire many times as they normally have the best price. In the past they mounted on stock wheels for me. Maybe their policy has changed. I have also taken just the wheels to them and they mounted them off the vehicle. HTH
