Bezel Alert?

I've noticed many comment on The FJ40s' Bezel. What is right or wrong about the bezel? What is a Bezel alert and why is it funny?

bezel is this chrome thing and the fat side goes up ,this pic explains well. i can't find the thread i stole it from .this bezel is on up side down .as the word (land cruiser)shows. self explanatory

Like this old fat man who tells his gauther not to wear little shorts, yet eveytime he bends over you can see his crack, is there any logic in that.
Thicker side up. more room for the lever to move , the guys here seem to enjoy the bezel police.
Like his dauther, if your cruiser is that nice , we don't mind if things are upsidedown.
