Best Way to Stop Leaf Spring Squeak (1 Viewer)

My leaf springs squeaks like crazy over bumps. Thought it was because of the shocks but now I have new shocks and they still squeak.

I know there are many techniques and products to stop the squeak but what worked for you on the fj40?

Are you sure it's the springs and not dry or worn out shackle and frame spring bushings?

I use and really like "THIS" stuff on new as well as old rusty leaf springs. Goes on watery and seems to penetrate well. In a day or so it gets waxy like. Can’t say that it stops squeaks as I’ve not had any but If it truly is your springs squeaking, I’d bet this would help. Can’t hurt. It’s easy to spray it on and I often hit up anything else showing rust while I’m under there
