Best vendor for 40 series windshield w/ gasket? (2 Viewers)

Like the title says... looking for a good vendor who has both. I think Cruisercorps is the only one I know of...

I had to replace the windshield on my '68 40. I bought from cruiser corps. Windshield worked great, but don't bother with the aftermarket weatherstripping, buy the OEM weatherstripping. Quality is way better. If you have an early model, be sure to get the lock strip and a lock strip tool: Lisle Windshield Locking Strip Tool-47000 - The Home Depot

My dealership says 153 for the windshield. When I went by there a few weeks ago. Nobody had ever seen an FJ40. Virtually none of them even knew it was a Toyota.

I think the dealerships that are ih8mud friendly, don’t ship windshields.

One final question: I need both (2) gaskets when changing out the windshield?

Yes, one is weather stripping and the other is locking strip (also by the tool to insert the locking strip, it will make your life a lot easier). Just have a local glass shop cut the windshield if you have a pattern. If not borrow one from someone or order the paper pattern from SOR or let me know and I will trace one for you.

Why not just have a local glass shop replace the windshield? I can get mine done locally for about $200 for glass and gasket.
