Outside of powder coating, what is the best spray paint for bumpers. I do not like Rustoleum so besides that . . .

Grainger has a good product, called Dem-cote..

my buddy used this paint and I thought at first it was powder coated . (I asked this in the paint/ equiptment section but not a lot of traffic). He is at Cruise Mohab the jerk, so I can't ask him.

That is the one I am trying to track down. Maybe it started with a V (but not valspar).

I use Orchard Supply brand flat black... cheaper than Rustoleum and 5 minutes of touchup and I've got a "new" bumper.:flipoff2:

To me, it is not worth spending a lot of money on painting parts that are going to hit the dirt/rocks:meh:

X-2...

Por15 in my opinion would not be a good candidate becasue it is UV sensitive unless you topcoat it and it gets very hard yet is smooth so it would be ugly to touchup because you would see all the scrapes and dings and trust me you wouldnt want to try and sand it!! Plus to make it worse POR15 goes on shinier then a bald mans head yet after a short time looks like an old ladies head..... So touching it up would look like those people with streaks in their hair..... What in the heck am i talking about? :meh:

My vote is for the spray cans of duplicolor bedliner that you can buy at napa and maybe even walmart because as mentioned 5 minutes and you have a new bumper again

POR15 is formulated to bond with rust, and it isn't very durable in the absence of rust.

I'm using Zero-Rust. It's durable, but it also tends to fade. Wish it was a bit more UV resistant.

Are we still talking about bumper paint? Brian, are you using Zero-Rust on a bumper?

I guess it all depends on your "usage!". I make it a point not to hit things with my bumpers, so I use factory correct ash grey metallic. If you want close and cheap, hammerite hammered spray paint is a very close match in color and has an amount of texture to it. Can't speak to salt/rust prevention, as we dont have those here in the desert.
