Need to run a 10g wire or 2 from the engine compartment to the DS rear of the 100, whats the best route? (I know I bet if I seached I'd findit, but to lazy)

Inside, under or a combo of both?

where to run thru firewall?

Don't konw the whole answer but you can snake a couple of wires through the fire wall via the rubber boot just outboard and under the steering column. I just poked a hole and ran the wires then sealed around them with RTV.

hey.....thats a start and its in the front so a good place to start :)

I ran my 10ga wires that supply my second rear fuse panel/circuit in the rear on the PS side. Through a similar large rubber 'grommet' as the DS...and then down along and under each door sill plate. I installed the second fuse box in the rear PS covered door: Perfect hiding place but yet it is still accessible.

sounds like how I ran it in my 80 series years ago, didnt know on the 100 if there was maybe a better/new way ;)

FYI: Like LCP mentioned I also have a trailer circuit; however I ran that from the front aux fuse panel to the rear bumper along the frame rail.

Another FYI, there is a plastic access cover in the rear, accessible through the DS outer tail light that leads out under the body, by the rear bumper.

Good to know, maybe I'll finally finish my bumper light project.

X2. I've had the darn light mounted back there for almost 3-years...not connected...pretty lame ;)

On the passenger side in the hood area - where the Slee 2nd battery tray goes to - there is wire loom there in a rubber boot. If you look in that rubber seal/boot there is a niple that you can cut - this will allow you to feed the wires you need to get through the firewall.

On the passenger side foot well. There is a plastic cover - it was a plastic nut you can unscrew and above that is where the wiring you have inserted will come through. You can peel the carpet on that side (removing the plastic trim on the door sill that holds the carpet down and run the wires all the way to the back of the truck)

Just another place where you can run wires through firewall. ;)

What's all this talk about routing little 10g wires, is overkill dead? ;)

I ran my wires just as ic4lo described. FYI, there is enough space in that cavity to route more wiring if you wanted to. For example, I ran 2 4g marine wires and a 10g wire in a loom to the PS rear under the door sills. In the rear, I installed a fuse block accessible through one of the cubbies, a power inverter hidden behind the trim, and 2 factory flip down 12v always-hot outlets to charge stuff and power the Engel. None of the seats need to be removed to do the routing, and it's useful to have something (fish wire or bulky 4g) to do the routing by the B-pillar. There is a factory loom that runs along there that you can zip tie to if you wish.

better power for the fridge and want to add some drawers and I know I need to run aux power before i add drawers.

LP, I have to ask, whatcha doing?

Are you guys fusing these wires under the hood as well? Seems like a lot of wire to run without a fuse. I had a 50A marine breaker from West Marine on my 80, I think it was about $25.
