hey guys, i'm new to this forum, but me and my father both would like to know where to get like Rear quarter panels Left and right, or even a whole rear tub..... is there any place to buy these parts, online, or do they need to be custom made?

Thanks alot
Nic

Welcome...This is a great forum and can answer many of your questions. Please search 1st or review the FAQ. Here is a link to other links to most questions. There is 1 for tubs. There are some great people on this site and this link is the effort of one. Post some pics of your truck. Everyone loves pics of cruisers in any condition and as they evolve...

alright i'll definitly check out the FAQ's but here she is.... she runs great, the undercarriage is great, but the body is shot, so thats what we need to fix for now...sooner or later it will be a down to the frame restoration project..

I've seen much worst!! I'm sure the pics don't show the issues well. The link to the thread on tubs covers most options. F/G, Alum, Steel and parts. Its up to you and your plans for the truck and wallet. Anything is possible. Quite a bumper!! Looks like it pushed a plow for some time. Look at the Vendor section as well. Many Great Vendors as well. I would follow the posts for a while before making any decisions. Again, Welcome and good luck...

yea my dad made that bumper, so the plow frame would have a secure place to mount to...All i can say about this truck, is that it is a beast! it goes anywhere with the tires we have on it....the pictures don't show the rust very well, cuz it is mostly in the rear. all we need are the rear quarters, but if we have enough $$$ we want to get a nice aluminum tub. i love the FJ!!

I'm in Pelham MA. thats some serious cash...lol but atleast thier not to far away!

I'm not sure where you are located but there are several places in NE... one in Hampstead NH .. http://cruisersolutions.com/ and another in.... RI http://www.supercruisers.com/

They both carry aluminum tubs firewall back but it will cost you around 5k

 i beleive the one in RI is by Wrights Chicken farm and when i spoke with them about a fj62 they had for sale with rusted rear quarters he told be that they fabricate quarters for 60-62's this he said about $350 a side ....something for ya to think about on the hard to find parts:beer:

I got my parts from Real Steel Cruiser Parts, think they hang out on ebay.

Got basiclly what your talking about, new rear sil and instead our whole quarter panels I got some of their c-clips instead, worked out great.

Yall like my old school creeper :grinpimp:

damn.. wright's chicken farm though? that's a lot closer than I thought it was.. I should stop ordering parts offline and just take a drive to see what they've got down there

Check out Canada Cruisers. They make replacement body parts. When I was thinking I might rebuild my tub (too far gone) I spoke with Spencer and found him to be very pleasant, knowledgable and helpful. He has written at least 3 "how to" articles on his web site.
