I'm getting ready to install air lockers on my 200 and will use the 80 series rotary style switch. My default would have been to put the switch on the positive side of the circuit. My ARB compressor switch is installed that way as that was what was shown on the ARB diagram. However, I found an aftermarket kit for the OEM rotary switch that includes a harness but it puts the switch on the negative side and as such requires the ARB solenoid wires to be reversed and some cutting of the ARB harness to reverse polarity. All of that seem like it would work and is doable but its got me thinking which way is right? or better? Does it make a difference? I'm inclined to put the switch on the positive side mostly because this is how ARB does it and I don't have to cut and modify the ARB harness.
