‘98 Taco 2WD, “seems” my belts are squealing a bunch. Bf Jason isn’t a Toyota guy and he’s the primary driver while his vehicle is down. From his inspection... Belts all look good, non frayed but we’re prepared to replace. They don’t squeal more when turning the wheel but seem to when the heat is on while idling mostly. He’s thinking alt.
He said it did it the other day shifting down into second. And he’s noticed a howling as well in the AM from it too. Still thinking alt. What do you think? I can try to get a video later or tmrw to add here.

Tighten them some. Part's houses usually stock a spray can of "belt dressing" that will make them quiet for a little while. That or a bar of soap. But likely loose.
