Is the belt diagram for the 60 the same as for the 62? (See attached)

Yes.

No. Not even close. 62 has the smog pump over the alt and the PS over the A/C. Well, maybe it's close but definitely not the same.

you are correct... the alt and p/s swapped locations....

same belt routing however....

Not true. The alt is directly under the smog pump and the power steering pump is above the A/C compressor on the 62. The alt has two belts going to it. Now you are making me think - not easy on a Friday night!

Forget thinking, I went out to the garage to check. The Alt is where the smog pump is located in the above diagram. It has its own belt, middle of the three, that runs to the crank and water pump pulleys as well as sharing a second belt with the PS and smog pumps that also goes around the crank pulley with and idler pulley for adjusting belt tension to match the belt that serves only the alt, crank and water pump. The long belt is the first belt back from the radiator. The third belt is the A/C compressor belt which also has an idler pulley for adjusting belt tension. A picture would be worth a brazillion words but I don't have one at thbe moment. Sorry.

No, they are different.
See below attached comparison chart then you can check the difference.

Schaat's diagram for the 3FE is almost right and I've seen it before. The problem with it, as I see it anyway, is that there are two idler pulleys instead of the single one shown and the secondary alt belt goes around the crank pulley. Otherwise, I believe it to be correct.

Thanks for clearing me up guys!

I am not by a 62 right now, but will be in the AM.

Sorry about any confusion.

How about below chart ?
I took these chart from Toyota's catalog.

Above chart (2F, 3FE) is from USA version of catalog, below chart(3F, 3FE) is from Japanese version of catalog.
Because I don't have 2F or 3FE motor, I don't know exactly :)
(I have 3F motor)

Thank you,

Like this? I assumed Vane Pump is PS

This is better, using terms I know, with 2nd idler pulley.

This is the correct diagram for a US FJ62.
